A Recent Reiki Experience

Lilac Here. Today is Saturday, April 2, 2022 and I decided to share about a recent experience I had that was powerful and showed me how to use my abilities to help others.  I think I overlook my own abilities to help and to heal.  It's like I know they are there but I don't use them and just go about my day.  There are plenty of reasons for this.  I work all day in a traditional healthcare environment surrounded by Nurses and EMT's.  I usually defer to their understanding on things.  But last week I woke up and started to get ready for work.  While doing my hair and makeup I felt a strong connection to a previous Reiki Client.  Now this client was a woman that I have never met but she is the mother of one of the Nurses that I work with.  She recently began chemotherapy. I felt her energy strongly.  She was fearful.  She was having trouble breathing.  So I channeled some Reiki healing for her and then I went to work.  When I saw her daughter, I explained the feelings and she verified that her Mom was indeed struggling with breathing.  I sent her Reiki once per hour for the day and continued to send distance Reiki for the remainder of the week, getting updated from her daughter to verify what I was sensing.

So why is this experience so interesting?

Well, for one thing, most people do not even know what Reiki healing is or what it does or how it might help them or others.  A few key things to know:

1.    Reiki can only work if the recipient agrees to receive it.

It's tricky here.  Sometimes you want to heal people but they have to ask or say yes.  I never understood this before.  Now I know that it is just one of the precepts of the technique.  We cannot force anyone to be healed.  

2.    The combination of one's own intuitive and psychic gifts when used in combination with the Reiki allows you to get a deeper understanding of the health issues or mental/emotional issues.

So what kind of Reiki healer could you be?  

Well in my case with this coworker, I was able to give her specific information about her mother's location inside the house- what she could see, what activities she was engaged in when the shortness of breath kicked up. I could tell her many things which gave her a feeling of trust for me that somehow I knew this and that everything would be okay.

Reiki healing can be done by anyone and I do really mean that.  Children can learn Reiki, the elderly can learn Reiki.  Anyone can do it if they work at it.  Not only can Reiki be done by anyone, but Reiki can be used for anything!  You want to create higher vibrations, healthier plants, heal your pet?  Reiki can be used for that.  Do you want to work on global concerns and issues affecting people around the world or loved ones at a distance?  Reiki can do that.  Are there things in the past or even past-life which you wish could be healed?  Reiki can be used to do that too.  Are you trying to heal yourself or quit smoking or dieting?  Reiki can support these goals in amazing ways.  

Why do I believe in Reiki so much?

I didn't always.  I have had many friends over the years when I was unhealed and afraid, offer it, and I would not receive Reiki.  I was afraid.  But I am so glad that everywhere I go I keep meeting people who say yes to receiving Reiki from me!  And I feel a beautiful connection with these people that makes me happy and feel grounded in my life.
