Emerging Triumphant after periods of Adversity

"Sometimes a person or a place or a situation comes along, and you cannot turn away-you must say "YES" ! You will not know where this is taking you, only that you must partake in the journey...
And you do."

When true passion find us, we must jump!  If you abandon the past and move ahead in something new, you are in a brave new world.  In this place, you can create new experiences for yourself.  The past never disappears, but consider this: If you took a divergence from the path you had been on, and someone or some issue from the past followed you...they followed you down your path.  They are chasing after you as you forge ahead. They, in essence, are what does not fit into your new paradigm.  They must be removed, or made to let go.

What am I talking about?

This is the story of the Fool in Tarot coming upon the Lovers Card, and choosing his path.  In this scenario, the Lovers could mean a Love or a career or any other major life change or milestone.  So imagine the young fool (or Lover, as it were...) is on this path.  He comes upon the split in the road and after deliberating over what he wanted, he chose a path.  As he travels down that path...anything ahead of him is to be encountered in the future.  If any thing or person were to follow behind, they are in essence, following the Fool or the Lover.

Why am I making a point about this?

Well, we choose things, people and opportunities.  But, we can also be pursued by things or people. The Fool in the Lovers Card has found something to follow or pursue and has chosen a path.  He has taken the path either to the left or to the right but he has come to an impasse where he needed to decide upon a future path, and so he did. That was his moment of choice.  This was also a moment of change.

For me, the Lovers Adventure has been more about my finding a new path in my career/work life.  Letting go of the excess responsibilities that were connected to me as a Property Manager, and closing the door on that type of work, has been freeing.  So what can we use to measure progress? How can we emerge triumphantly? At the start of the journey, the fool needed to take stock of what he was carrying, what he needed for the next leg of the journey and finally, he needed to take the steps.  For me, I knew it was time to step out of Management/Leadership and to begin working toward my future goal to have my own business.

I have run my own business successfully in the past.  It was small, simple and with only one or two employees  and 4-10 clients at a time, I was having no real trouble managing it. But to come out into the world as a Tarot Card Reader, Reiki Master or Astrologer...these are big sweeping changes that are not popular in every circle.  Not only are there critics and haters, there is scarcity of customers and the newness of it all.  Furthermore, like the fool on his new path, one must occasionally check to see who or what is attempting to drag them back into their old way of life.

I have allowed Divine guidance to point me in the right direction.  I have asked the people in my circle to support my dreams and my steps.  I made two major decisions.  I believe these two decisions were everything.  One:  I quit Property Management and let go of having worldly titles.  I took a simpler job, one where I am appreciated, included, feel rewarded and also benefit my organization.  I do not feel stressed about work.  I go in, do my job, contribute to the team and my mind is free after hours. Two:  I invested in myself and leased a new Studio space.  Moving all of my personal work space to a remote location was challenging.  On one had, I felt too much separation from my stuff... but also, it is set up to serve others and ready to go! So I choose to see the good in it.

But what I really want to talk about, especially in the New Moon energy in February 2022, is how to handle it when you have triumphed over adversity and you turn a corner in life...and no one will let you forget your past mistakes.  It reminds me of when people become wealthy or famous and all of a sudden, people from the past come out to talk about how this celeb had hurt them way back when.  I see this as bullying.  No one is perfect.

So how can we be the heroes in our own stories?  Who is truly righteous enough to "deserve" success more than any other person?  Two years ago, I would NOT have had the courage to open a new Studio Space.  Five years ago, I did not feel I would buy a house.  Seven years ago, I saw marriage as impossible.  Today, I have accomplished all of these things.  Every person that I meet, and every client that I help, has some thing or things that they do not believe are possible for them.

Finding the source of this doubt and healing whatever that is, has become my passion in life.

My new studio is proof to me that dreams can come true.

Whatever you want in life, you have to put your heart into it.
Thoughts become things.

Namaste,
