HIKING DAY revised this week

Image
F riday's are my day to write about our Thursday Hiking experience.  This week, my son and I worked in the Berry Patch and the Fairy Garden to get things ready for Spring.  Later, when Annika was home, we went for a walk/Bike Ride to the Soccer Complex.  At around 12:45pm, both Alex and I were excited to take a break and get outside.  It was his lunch break for "Long Period", so we bundled up and grabbed the dog and went for a walk around the property to check things out.  The Berry Patch and Fairy Garden looked Bleak to say the very least.  Many things were just piled up where they shouldn't be because my husband is very untidy when he works the yard.  If I want to avoid that happening in the future, I will need to be more attentive, stay active and prevent it.  Alex and I decided to fence off the Berry Patch Zone due to the fact that birds and bunnies ravished it last year.  My plants looked like barely twigs!  It was utterly discourag...

Lilac- About Me

Welcome to the Blog of Lilac Avonlea  and my business venture, The Lilac Broom About Me My actual human name is AngelMarie Carroll and I live in Warwick Rhode Island in the United States.  I have lived here for 46 years (aka, my entire life).  I am married and I have two children.  I attended High School and College here in Rhode Island. I have also worked in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut as a Property Manager for Conventional Apartment Communities and the Affordable Housing Communities in all three states.  In 2009, after reading "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne, I began to pursue that which resided deep inside of me...a quiet stirring and a long-silenced voice.  I discovered the wisdom and deep spirituality there and made major lifestyle changes. I had been with my children's father for approximately 14-15 years at that point and unmarried.  I decided that I wanted a real marriage and a home and family.  I made the changes and t...
